The EAA Young Eagles program welcomes young people into the exciting world of aviation. Young Eagles was launched in 1992 to give interested young people ages 8 to 17 an opportunity to go flying in a general aviation aircraft. The flights are offered free of charge through the generosity of EAA member volunteers. More than 2.3 million Young Eagles have enjoyed a flight through this program. For more information on the Young Eagles program, visit the Young Eagles website here.
Chapter 818 sustains the program locally through our Young Eagles Coordinator, Doug Seward. You can contact Doug at seward747@aol.com. For complete details and Registration go to youngeaglesday.0rg.
WHERE AND WHEN:
Our next Young Eagles event will be June 29, 2024, the last Saturday of June, from 10 am to 1 pm. The location will again be Cascade Aviation at Skagit Regional Airport. As with our previous YE fly days, a successful event will require the participation of volunteer pilots and ground personnel.
More information on pilot requirements, and other items is at eaa.org. The background check is not required for ground volunteers.
Looking forward to seeing you there!
Doug Seward

December 2019
Hi Gents: earlier this evening I had the pleasure of presenting to Ken Davies and Cascade Aviation a Certificate of Appreciation for their support of our Young Eagles program at their Christmas party, held at Flyers restaurant at BVS. Great event and he assured us of their continued support in the future.
